Abbeyfeale traveled to north cork on sat. last to play a long awaited friendly with Kanturk .The team entered the lions den with some apprehension as Kanturk emerged with a large panel and a lot of physical presence.but as the saying goes “the bigger they are the harder they fall” played to it’s true meaning. The pack excelled as a unit, indivually and collectively with total dominance in the scrums ,lineouts and rucks with a  tremendous performance from no 6 Tommy O Keeffe and no8 Daniel Mulcahy who both notched a try each.The power play up front gave a platform for the backs to run with abandom with no10 Tim Tobin touching down 3 times,PJ Reynolds twice and one each from Adrian Enright and Chris Smith Tim converted five of the tries with Daniel Mulcahy two A good days work Team; S Mangan,S Finnerty,F Hennesey,M Harnett,C Kiely,T O Keeffe,P O Connor,D Mulcahy, C Smith,T Tobin ,G Moloney,PJ Reynolds,A Enright,P Lane, K Semple,T Sheehan,J Mahoney
