Abbeyfeale played Castleisland at the Grove on Sunday 17th. We had a smaller panel than usual due a lot of the players away on hols for the mid tern break. However, those who were present were eager to show what they could do. From the start Abbeyfeale were dominant and only through over eagerness on the own behalf mistakes were made which were duly penalised by the ref. Abbeyfeale led by 4 trys to 2 at the half. A little more focus on doing the basic right yielded a better second half performance where we scored another 4 trys to the visitors one. The Castleisland team must be commended as they kept there heads up and continued to attack at every opportunity right to the end. In the end the experience of the Abbeyfeale side showed. Well done to all who played there part on the day.
