There was great excitement at yesterday’s National School Rugby Blitz, where teams from Monagea, Dromtrasna, Glengurt, St. Mary’s, Templeglantine, Knocknasna, and Ashford National Schools gathered to show their skills, enthusiasm, and love of the game. We also had a visit from Munster players Michael Milne and Sean O’Brien, who signed autographs and answered any questions the kids could think of! This was our third blitz, and like the others it was a huge success. We would like to thank our 7 Transition Year helpers from Coláiste Íde agus Iosef, our club coaches and volunteers who helped out on the day, and our CCRO Áine Reidy for organising the day and making all the fun possible! Massive congratulations to our own Scott Ryan, who has been selected to start for the u16 Munster CSP side who are playing against Christian Brothers College in Virgin Media Park tomorrow. The game kicks off at 7:00 pm, and is part of the group stages of the Munster Junior Cup. This is a fantastic achievement and we would like to wish Scott the best of luck from all here at Abbeyfeale RFC! 💛🏆
